I advise extensively on legal government consultancy projects –working on some of the most iconic regional transformation projects in the public sector.

Examples of projects I have worked on include:

Advising the GCC Secretariat on the appropriate legal framework required in order to set up and regulate a new Gulf Central Bank and prepare the GCC for a single currency.

The GCC states are close to implementing VAT across the member states.  I have helped develop the framework legislation for VAT and assisting the UAE Ministry of Finance in implementing the tax.  I have also assisted in writing the code for a new Federal Corporation Tax in the UAE.

Advising the University of Oman on the legal design, regulation, set up and operation of a new public university.

Advising the GCC Secretariat on the required legal framework for a new cross-border payment system.

I publish contributions to global reference guides (e.g. for the World Bank) and I present at conferences and symposiums.

I have been named as a “Hot 100 Lawyer” by leading legal publication, The Lawyer.
